Dr. Porter gives multiple examples of how we can improve our lives through diet, eliminating some common toxins, exercise for the body and relaxation for the mind. From airing out dry cleaning for at least 48 hrs to using less toxic cleaning agents to using safer cookware, I was astounded at how faux green I was and realized that there is always room for improvement. There are an abundance of helpful websites that she lists, encouraging readers to research their own health and beauty products and even encourage change in our own community. I appreciate that her approach is science-based without being too complicated. I bought this book for myself and ended up buying it as a gift for many family members and friends.

I have known Dr. Porter for over 25 years and she has more knowledge and experience than most doctors I know. This book brings together all areas of her expertise wrapped in with her skills at communicating important message to patients they can understand and implement, without judgement.
