I sent this to my 3YO grandson for Valentine's Day (nothing says Valentine's Day like dinosaurs). He'd "read" it 3 times before bedtime and picked it up again this morning. It made him feel like a big boy because he was able to figure out what was going on by the pictures and was thrilled that it matched the text. So, of course, that mean's he can read.Would I classify it as an example of youthful intellectual stimulation that will a spark a child's desire to expand their reading horizons? No. It's a charming little book with attractive drawings that made a wonderful addition to his dinosaur world and he likes it. Worked for me.Thank you.
